Registration fee is due at the first lesson. If lessons are stopped for one month, including summer breaks, registration fee must be paid again.
This includes one 30-minute lesson per week. Payment for the entire month is to be made by the first scheduled lesson of each month; otherwise a late fee of $10 will be charged to your monthly tuition. If you will not be present at your first scheduled lesson you may bring payment to the studio or mail payment. Tuition is non-refundable. Cash or Check only.
Please know that your payment reserves your lesson time. If payment is not made by the first scheduled lesson, your 30-minute lesson time will not be reserved. If you would like your lesson time reserved while student is unable to attend lessons (i.e. sports, field trips, injuries, etc.), monthly tuition must be paid and missed lessons will not be made up.
A set of books is about $30. Depending on the advancement of the student a set of books will be completed in one year. At times a book may be recommended that the teacher will purchase or order. Reimbursement is expected when the book arrives.
Students need to bring all assigned books to every lesson. If a student comes to lessons without books, a lesson will not be given. If a student comes to lessons with partial books, those books will be used and the student will be released early.
Students should practice so that significant progress is shown each week. Parents, please encourage your child to practice daily as little progress can be made with no practice. If a student consistently comes to lessons unprepared and improvement is not made, it will be recommended that lessons be discontinued.
It is important that students attend lessons consistently if progress is to be made. If a student must miss a lesson please give a minimum of 24-hour notice. Prior notice of lesson absence does not exempt students from payment, nor exclude them from the no-make-up policy. Make-up lessons will not be provided for student cancellations.
If a month consists of five lessons the fifth lesson is considered a make-up lesson since there is no extra charge for that lesson. Each student will get at least one fifth lesson for Fall semester and one for Spring semester.
Lessons will not be taught on Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, the week following Christmas, New Years Day, Memorial Day and July fourth. Tuition fee remains the same for these months.
Students are offered the opportunity to participate in a recital during the Spring semester. A participation form will be sent out and must be returned with parent signature by the deadline or student will not be allowed to participate. There is no recital fee to participate, however, a $5 drop-out fee will be charged if student drops out of recital after committing on participation form.
If student does not attend lessons consistently at least two months prior to recital, student will not be allowed to participate.
